What it reports on
The recipes do not describe this check yet. The criterion’s Understanding page, linked above, is what it is written from.
How to meet it
WCAG’s own sufficient techniques for the criterion. They are W3C’s, cited by id; nothing here is written for your page in particular.
| Technique | Criterion | Title |
|---|---|---|
| C44 | 2.5.5 | Using CSS to ensure targets are at least 44 by 44 CSS pixels |
Fix it with Setsquare UI
Setsquare UI builds every control that can paint smaller than its target in three layers. The target is the real element, so at AAA it is 44 by 44 from its own box, and the paint stays the size it is at AA.
<html lang="en" data-conformance="aaa">When a wrapper takes the click for a control the geometry says is too small, the click probe checks it: clickProbe: true in the config clicks the controls this run already failed, once each, and files a control a wrapper activates as setsquare-target-size-delegated.
